Two Winners in 1 Week!
Vivien G. Malloy of Edition Farm led two horses she bred, owns and races into the Winner’s Circle at Aqueduct Racetrack in 1 excitement-filled week. Local Edition (Cosmonaut x Miney’s Awesome, by Awesome Again) trailed the field in the beginning of the 2nd race on April 10, but pulled his way to the lead turning for home, closing the gap to win it in the last 4 strides! Riendo (Kitten’s Joy x Then She Laughs, by Distorted Humor) made his move around the turn for home on the outside, winning by 2.5 lengths in the 9th Race on the turf, in the fog on April 14th Both horses are New York bred, and trained by Rick Schosberg.

First Foal Born in the U.S.A. for A Shin Forward
A Shin Forward was represented by his first foal born in America, at Edition Farm in Hyde Park, NY on March 5th, when Miney’s Awesome (Awesome Again – Mine Tonight by Upper Nile) produced a filly by this son of Forest Wildcat. Miney’s Awesome is the dam of 6 winners out of seven that raced, and is a ½-sister to three stakes horses. Not only is this A Shin Forward’s first foal born in the U.S.A., but it his his first New York Bred.
A Shin Forward (Forest Wildcat – Wake Up Kiss by Cure the Blues) is the 3rd all-time leading NY-bred earner, $3,211,871 and the state’s all-time leading earner on the turf. He has five crops of racing age in Japan and is owned in partnership by Edition Farm and Lady Sheila Stable, LLC.
