Edition Farm's BEHRLY MINE made amends today by capturing
the $23,100
featured eighth race by two lengths.
In Behrly Mine's last as the 8 to
5 favorite going one mile and seventy yards,
the Jonathan Buckley trainee
was in a striking position throughout
but failed to fire and ran a disappointing
third.

Despite coming away a tad sluggish,
Edition Farm's A VERY YOUNG JET gained the lead and never looked back
to take today's $23,100 featured eighth race by two and one-quarter lengths.
Trained by Jonathan Buckley and ridden to victory by Gabriel Suarez,
A Very Young Jet had finished runner-up in his first two starts on the year.
In A Very Young Jet's most recent try on May 7 against NW3X going five furlongs,
the five year old gelding by A. P. Jet was slow to load in the gate and then
broke sluggishly.
A Very Young Jet was making a seven wide move on the bend
but could not sustain the bid and finished a respectable second to My Dynomite.
Today's contest at five and one-half furlongs was for three year olds and upward
which had never won three state-bred races other than.
Seven rivals went to the post with Psychotic Reaction the odds on choice at 3
to 5.
Trained by Daniel H. Conway Jr., Psychotic Reaction
was coming off an impressive three and three-quarter length romp in his last
race here.
Prior to that the four year old colt by Freud raced at Aqueduct on April 29
for a $10,000 price tag going six and one-half furlongs

because the Jonathan Buckley trainee, took command leaving the backstretch
and never took a deep breath while proving much the best in today's $22,600
featured eighth race.

but was no match for the late running Dixie Jam. Last year, Louise the Tease
finished
with a record of 13 starts, 4 wins, 1 second, 2 thirds and $31,550 in earnings.
Hugh W. Backmore's Just Fine shipped in here from Fort Erie
and finished three-quarters of length behind Louise the Tease in her local
debut.
Trained by Thomas M. Agosti, Just Fine has only three starts on the year
and should benefit from the race over.
Today's contest at one mile and seventy yards was restricted to fillies and
mares
which had never won a state-bred race other than.
